How to use your SmallGarden with a Wi-Fi Hotspot

To use your SmallGarden with a Wi-Fi hotspot you can follow the below instructions. 

Please note, you will lost the following functionality with your SmallGarden:

1. Low water alerts via the app (although the SmallGarden LED will still pulse blue when the water is low)
2. Ability to turn the LED on/off with the app (you can still turn the light on/off with the side button on the SmallGarden)
3. Ability to see the water level in the app
4. Your SmallGarden may blink yellow to indicate no Wi-Fi, although this will time-out after 10 minutes

What you'll need:

1. SmallGarden
2. a Wi-Fi hotspot (can be from any source, but must be different than the iOS device you are using to pair)
3. iOS device for pairing

How to setup your SmallGarden with your Wi-Fi hotspot:

1. Turn on your Wi-Fi hotspot
2. Connect your iOS device to the Wi-Fi hotspot
3. Open the ēdn Grow app and pair as per the instructions
4. Set your LED Light on/off schedule
5. In the ēdn Grow app, navigate to your SmallGarden > Garden settings and select 'Update' to upgrade to the latest firmware - wait at least 10 minutes before turning off your Wi-Fi hotspot to ensure pairing is complete
